Sustanon 250: A Tracking Guide for the Testosterone Blend

A four-ester testosterone blend with a tricky release curve. Why the mixed esters complicate tracking and what to monitor.

Sustanon 250 is a blend of four testosterone esters - short, medium, and long - designed so the short esters act quickly while the long esters sustain levels. In practice the mixed-ester design produces an uneven release curve, and the long ester (decanoate) means infrequent dosing causes peaks and troughs.

This is an educational tracking guide. It is the same hormone as any other testosterone product, prescription-only, and controlled in many places. Track it under medical care.

What it does

  • Delivers testosterone with a staggered onset from the different esters
  • Same downstream effects as any testosterone: muscle, strength, libido, red cells
  • Suppresses the HPTA and aromatises to estradiol

Why the blend complicates tracking

  • The short esters peak fast and clear fast; the long ones linger
  • Infrequent injections (the old "once every few weeks" label schedule) produce big swings
  • More frequent, smaller injections are commonly used to smooth this out
  • Interpreting a testosterone blood level depends heavily on when you drew it relative to dosing

What to track daily

  • Dose, site, route
  • Libido and morning erections
  • Mood and irritability
  • Energy and sleep
  • Acne, water retention, injection-site reactions

What to track weekly

  • Bodyweight and waist
  • Blood pressure
  • Strength and performance
  • Well-being

Bloodwork worth doing

  • Baseline: total and free testosterone, sensitive estradiol, full blood count with haematocrit, lipids, PSA where appropriate, liver and kidney panels
  • 6-8 weeks in and periodically: repeat, with consistent draw timing
  • Haematocrit and estradiol are the usual movers

Realistic expectations

  • The blend offers no real advantage over a single ester for most users; it just complicates timing
  • Smoother levels come from more frequent dosing, not from the blend itself
  • Same risk profile as any testosterone

Common mistakes

  • Following old infrequent-dosing schedules and riding peaks and troughs
  • Drawing bloods at random times relative to dosing and misreading the result
  • No baseline labs
  • Crashing estradiol

A tracking template

  • Pre: baseline labs plus subjective baseline
  • On: daily logs, weekly BP and weight, labs at 6-8 weeks with fixed draw timing
  • Adjust frequency, not just dose, to stabilise how you feel

Safety notes

Same risks as any testosterone product: HPTA suppression, raised haematocrit and blood pressure, prostate, lipid, fertility, mood, and acne effects. Prescription-only; monitor with bloodwork under a physician. Not for casual performance use.

Peptide IA is an educational and self-tracking tool. Nothing in this post is medical advice. Doses mentioned reflect what is commonly reported in research literature — they are not recommendations. Always consult a qualified physician before starting, changing, or stopping any protocol.
